Festival style with MiPac

From being up on some poor, crumpling person’s shoulders singing my heart out, to sitting round the campsite and falling over guide ropes as you try and find your tent while a bit intoxicated, festivals and the complete freedom of them hold some of my best memories. There’s something about being covered in mud and/or drink and yelling along to a song you vaguely know with your best mates that just gives me a huge sense of joy.

I haven’t been to an *actual* festival in about 5 years (heat-stroke inducing V Festival 2011 put an end to my camping days!), but I still love seeing all the festival style coming through on Insta, and my friends and I recently used a small local festival to go all out with our outfits, face jewels and all! Although I don’t have any festivals planned, receiving one of MiPac’s new festival collection bags inspired me to get my festival on again and style another simple festival outfit – any excuse to do a bit of dressing up!

If you haven’t heard of MiPac before, they’re well worth a look if you’re in the market for a new backpack for holiday, travelling or obviously a festival. They have tons of great designs, and loads of different shapes and sizes of bag to suit whatever you need. The bag I received is the mini backpack style, but it’s so roomy and has a separate inside pocket to divide up your essentials. I can imagine the larger size being perfect as a school bag as well, perfect for any mums tearing their hair out at the prospect of finding a cool-but-practical bag for the new term!

I styled my backpack with a simple vest-top-and-shorts look – I know from experience that at festivals you need something pretty simple otherwise it’s a massive hassle getting ready with no mirror if you’re in a tent! Denim shorts are always a winner, and the high-waisted Mom style of these is really comfy and great for dancing. Comfy shoes are also a must – a friend once made the mistake of wearing new shoes to a festival and ended up spending the whole weekend in the medical tent with the worst blisters. Better to wear something you know fits and isn’t going to shred your feet, so I went for my trusty Stan Smiths. This double necklace from New Look is the perfect festival-feel jewellery to finish the look off without being too in-your-face.
